Business architect Appear

The Hands-On Enterprise Architect will be responsible for designing, implementing, and governing the overarching technology architecture across all business systems for a rapidly growing media tech company. This includes ownership of core platforms (ERP, HRIS, CRM, content management tools, analytics suites, etc.) and all related integrations, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and aligned with strategic goals.In this role, the Enterprise Architect must be both a strategic thinker and a technical doer—developing architecture blueprints, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and providing hands-on guidance to engineering and operations. The ideal candidate excels at bridging the gap between business needs and technical execution.

Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Architecture Strategy.
Define and maintain an enterprise-wide technology roadmap, aligning business objectives with system capabilities and new initiatives.
Establish architectural principles, standards, and governance to ensure consistency across all platforms and teams.
Systems Ownership & Integration
Oversee the end-to-end architecture for critical business systems (ERP, HRIS, CRM, content platforms, analytics, etc.).
Evaluate and implement integration patterns, middleware solutions, and APIs to ensure seamless data flow between internal and external systems.
Hands-On Technical Leadership
Serve as the technical authority, providing direct input on system configurations, data modeling, automation, and infrastructure decisions.
Perform reviews, set best practices, and troubleshoot complex system or data issues when necessary.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work with Product, Operations, Finance, and HR teams to translate business needs into technical requirements and architectural solutions.
Partner with stakeholders to assess new technology opportunities—conducting feasibility studies, pilots, and proofs of concept.
Risk Management & Compliance
Ensure that all systems and data handling processes comply with relevant regulations.
Implement robust security frameworks to protect intellectual property, user data, and core infrastructure from potential threats.

Qualifications & Requirements
- 6+ years in software architecture or solutions architecture.
- Demonstrated success driving transformation initiatives in a technology, broadcasting, or other digital content space.
- Proven track record of designing and deploying integrated systems—ERP, CRM, data warehouses, or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms and integration technologies.
- Hands-on experience with data modeling, ETL pipelines, data lake architectures, and modern analytics frameworks. Skills & Competencies: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, comfortable dealing with complexity and ambiguity. Excellent communication skills; able to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; a master’s degree is a plus.
