Professional Services Business Owner
Build and scale a Global Services Function
Appear is an international technology company experiencing strong global growth. We are now looking for a strategic, commercially minded and operationally strong PSBO to help build and scale our global Professional Services function.
This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of how Professional Services is structured, sold, delivered, and measured across the company. You will play a key role in building scalable services that improve customer outcomes while strengthening profitability and operational excellence.
About the role
As PSBO, you will be responsible for building and operationalizing Appear’s global Professional Services framework. You will work closely with Sales, Product, Delivery, and leadership teams to establish scalable offerings, improve profitability, and create repeatable delivery models.
This is a highly visible role with significant impact across both customer experience and business performance. The role will be located in Oslo.
Key responsibilities
Building and owning Appear’s Professional Services catalogue
Defining standardized service offerings, scopes, and delivery models
Developing templates, project frameworks, and delivery assets
Establishing structure for time tracking, utilization, and reporting
Owning Professional Services P&L visibility and margin analysis
Identifying and reducing margin leakage and operational inefficiencies
Enabling Sales teams to scope, position, and sell services effectively
Driving operational excellence, scalability, and continuous improvement
What you will achieve
Build a scalable and productized Professional Services function
Create structure, visibility, and repeatability across service delivery
Establish data-driven insights into utilization, margins, and profitability
Help transform Professional Services into a recognized profit center
Contribute directly to customer success, retention, and business growth
Who we are looking for
We are looking for someone who combines commercial understanding with operational structure and execution power.
To succeed you are likely to have:
Experience from a Professional Services Manager, PS Operations, or similar role within a B2B technology company
Experience productizing services and building scalable delivery models
Strong understanding of Professional Services economics, utilization, and margins
Experience working with enterprise customers and complex deliveries
A structured and analytical approach combined with strong collaboration skills
Experience from hardware/software environments is an advantage, and strong technical understanding is an absolute must. Norwegian or Nordic language is a plus.
